REVIEW: Henara Intensive Treatment Wax

I picked this up today from Savers because I'd heard so many good things about it. It only cost me £1.49 so for that price I could afford to give it a go regardless of how well it worked.
After washing my hair with my usual shampoo and conditioner, I towel dried my hair and applied this all over my hair. It's more like a thick cream than a wax and spread through my hair easily. I was very sparing with it as I was unsure of how much I should have applied and didn't want to risk my hair turning into a big greasy mess. After my hair was covered, I put a shower cap on then wrapped my head in a towel to keep some heat in. I left it for about half an hour and then rinsed my hair.
I'm pretty pleased with the results, although I think I should have applied more to the ends of my hair because they still feel slightly dry. However, the parts that I put a fair bit of product on feel really soft and healthy. I can't really tell if my hair looks any different because of the lighting in my house but it definitely feels a little better than usual.
Maybe next time I should try applying more cream and see what happens!
I'd definitely recommend this product if you have dry/damaged hair from dying it too much and things like that or if you like a bit of extra shine.

Not a good day

Oh well! Nothing a little retail therapy can't sort out!
Been to the town centre and bought some more Henara conditioner for red hair (I WILL do a review on this later). I picked up a Henara intensive treatment wax too because it's supposed to be really good, so I'll be trying that out later and doing a review on it.

Chocolatey goodness!

Fancy something chocolatey but can't be bothered to go to the shop to buy something? You might have the ingredients in your cupboard to make a delicious chocolate cake in 5 minutes!

What you'll need:
- A large mug. The type you get with hot chocolate gift sets are usually good, but any mug will do as long as it's not tiny!
- A spoon (preferably tablespoon, but if you're using a dessert spoon that's okay)
- A fork (for whisking)
- A microwave

Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (3 dessert spoons) Self Raising Flour
- 1 tbsp (1 1/2 dessert spoons) Cocoa Powder (you can use hot chocolate powder if you don't have any cocoa powder, it works just as well!)
- 1 tbsp (1 1/2 dessert spoons) sugar (caster or granulated, I just use granulated as it doesn't really make any difference)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp (1 1/2 dessert spoons) Vegetable oil (this is optional, it just makes it a bit more moist. Golden syrup also works extremely well!)
- 2 tbsp (3 dessert spoons) milk
- Peppermint flavouring (again, this is optional but adds a bit more flavour to the cake. you could also try vanilla flavouring or even adding a teaspoon of coffee if you like!)

First, put all of the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, sugar) into your mug.
Mix together thoroughly.
Add the egg to your mug and whisk with a fork until blended (it may look lumpy, don't worry about this!)
Add in the milk and continue to mix with the fork.
Keep mixing until the mixture is smooth and thoroughly mixed together.
Add the oil/golden syrup if desired.
Add your choice of flavouring.
Mix again
Pop it in the microwave for 1 minute (850 watt/category E) and ENJOY!

Tips:
Cooking for not enough time is better than cooking for too long. If you are unsure of the time for your microwave, put it in for 1 minute and check it! The cake should rise and look like, well, a cake!

If you want a syrup at the bottom of your cup, add more milk/oil and lessen the time slightly!

I really love this recipe, it's so quick and easy and the perfect snack for chocoholics like me!

REVIEW: Covergirl Clean Makeup Foundation

This foundation is my absolute favourite. I'm not one for spending £££s on makeup and for that reason I always go to discount stores like B&M, Discount UK, Boyes, Savers etc. to see if they have anything good in.
I'd always heard them mentioning Covergirl on America's Next Top Model but didn't think it was available in the UK. I first found this foundation in Discount UK for 99p.
It has quite a medical smell but if you can get over this then it's definitely worth trying. The shades available are amazing, much like MAC has cool and warm shades, so does Covergirl.
The coverage is good, although I always use concealer too. It goes on quite oily but a bit of powder soon sorts that out and keeps it in place all day. I usually use a brush to apply foundation just because I prefer it and haven't tried applying this with a sponge but I'm guessing it would be just as good.
I recently found this in Boyes for 99p so I bought another bottle, however I've had my first bottle over a year and it's still half full. I don't wear makeup every day and even less so recently due to having a broken ankle and just being generally not bothered.

I'd definitely recommend this product if you're looking for a cheap foundation that works relatively well. It may be a bit harder to find now as I've noticed that not a lot of places stock it anymore but eBay most likely have it.

Feeling Lazy

When am I not feeling lazy though, really?
No reviews from me today. I was going to review Henara conditioner for red hair, but I'll do that another day or something.
Busy getting ready to go to my boyfriend's house. I should really get my bag ready and stuff!

Au revoir! :)
